On a fine Autumn day in Sonoma Ms. Moolot, the favorite (cork encrusted) bovine attraction at our downtown Sonoma Tasting Room, enjoyed her annual cow-wash (this suits her regal personality, bathing, as Henry VIII was said to have done, once a year "whether I need it or not..."). Maneuvering her (not manuring...) into a parking spot (2 hr limit; strictly enforced) in front of the Tasting Room, her creator (lower case; no divine cleansing here), Artist Gretchen Gardner, began the procedure. Using a small brush and a pail of mildly soapy water Gretchen worked carefully and gently, cleaning the year's accumulated grime (not too grimy but people can't resist touching...) from the varnished cork surface of the patient beast.

No accidents were reported from the distraction of seeing a cow parked on 1st Street West and within a few hours (no citations) Gretchen and the CCV gang rolled Ms. Moolot back into position, front and center, facing the Tasting Room entrance.
Next year: A new coat (of marine varnish)?
